By creating and funding innovative educational and clinical programs, FHSR works to mitigate the challenges for children living with hearing loss, helping them to achieve on the same level as their hearing peers.

at Rock The Town for Hearing, a concert-style fundraising event.
The Commoners, a local Chicago cover band will be helping us Rock the Town, at
FitzGerald’s Sidebar in Berwyn.
Tickets include a wine & beer bar, fantastic food from Babygold Barbecue, great music, a photo booth, and more.

ROCK THE TOWN FOR HEARING!
to support programming that positively impacts the lives of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and young adults.
This concert-style fundraising event features The Commoners, a local Chicago Cover Band at FitzGerald’s Sidebar.
This fun night includes a Wine & Beer Bar, yummy food from Babygold Barbecue, fantastic music, a photo booth, silent auction and more.
We will have an ASL interpreter and a temporary hearing loop installed for the event, thanks to Thunder Hearing. A hearing loop is a wireless sound system that works directly with hearing aids, cochlear implants, or other receivers.

FHSR knows how difficult it can be for deaf and hard-of-hearing children to not see peers who look just like them, and how isolating it can be for families. The Foundation offers annual free family events to combat this issue and provides policy opportunities for parents – their child’s best advocates.

The FHSR Education Coordinator serves as a resource for parents and their children living with hearing loss as well as the professionals who work with them, to assist in the transition to school, class placement, technology, paperwork, services, and accommodations.
