Cheers for Ears is FHSR’s longest-running family event. Gathering our community at Ravinia, we bring together children with hearing loss and their families to promote community, create friendships, and enjoy a concert from Laurie Berkner (the “queen of children’s music”).
This event features ASL interpretation – let us know when you register if any of your guests require ASL to fully enjoy the show.
Tickets are free for FHSR families, but limited. You must register in advance, and you must confirm your attendance the week before the show. If the event “sells out,” we will create a waitlist so that all tickets can be used.

Cheers for Ears, our free family concert that celebrates the powerful intersection of hearing and music was created nine years ago. It brings children with hearing loss together for an afternoon of entertainment and community. Music not only provides an opportunity for the kids to connect with each other, it opens the door to so many possibilities.Â
