FREE FAMILY EVENTS
At FHSR our goal is community for our kids and our families. We have seen how difficult it can be children to not see peers who look just like them and how isolating it can be for families. We started a series of annual free family events to combat this issue and bring together children who are living with hearing loss and their families to celebrate the joy of hearing, share stories and uplift each other. Our signature annual event, Cheers for Ears, is a free family concert (in its 10th year!) celebrating the power of music for children. Cheers for Ears is targeted toward children under the age of 10, but all family members are welcome. Bowling with Friends is a fun packed afternoon focused on bringing together children, tweens and teens to hang out and spend time getting to know other kids who also use a device to hear. Both of these events work to create a community for children living with hearing loss.
Calling all Families with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Kids !
Join FHSR for a FREE concert at Ravinia Park on July 16th at 10:30 am for a LIVE concert performance by Laurie Berkner!
Laurie’s show features popular hits like “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz),” “Victor Vito,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” “Pig On Her Head,” and “Rocketship Run,” newer hits from her latest albums, plus – as a special treat for fans – a few well-loved Laurie Berkner songs that are not often heard at Laurie’s full-band concerts! Kids should plan to bring their dancing shoes and a stuffed animal (for their heads).
Join Advanced Bionics for a Free Bowling Party
We want to give our kids the world.
That desire includes all the experiences that teach them how to talk, think, and connect with everything and everyone around them.
Join Advanced Bionics at a free event with their team of trained hearing professionals and mentors to learn about Sky CI M, the innovative, and child-centric cochlear implant sound processor.
